My name is Krista Michelle Sachse, and I consider myself not only a passionate yoga teacher, but also a comprehensive, compassionate wellness guide. After attending New York University, majoring in European Studies and History, I was never able to narrow down what I wanted to do with my life with any degree of certainty.
The following few years were a real struggle for me, as I found myself full of anxiety and depression. I really thought there was no way out- until I found yoga. Yoga has changed my life in ways I can't even describe. Through this practice, I have learned to love my body as well as my mind. Over the past few years, my life has improved in ways I never thought possible, and I owe it all to yoga, in all of its many aspects.
After realizing I had been given a second chance at life, I knew I had to share what I had found with others. I immersed myself in practice and study, and enrolled in my first 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Room in Astoria, NYC. I set out to learn about as many styles of yoga as possible, even outside of my training. Living in New York City, I was able to work with the best of the best: Tzahi Moscovitz of the Iyengar Institue; Dana Trixie Flynn of Laughing Lotus, Juliana Mitchell of Living Now Yoga; Elizabeth Barnett and Eddie Teboul of Jivamukti Yoga; amongst many others.
I am happy to announce I am returning to my beloved NYC Spring 2021, and I am thrilled to begin teaching again. Classes will be offered virtually due to COVID-19 until studio space reopens safely. Recorded video classes will also be made available on this website in the coming weeks. Virtual workshops will be scheduled in the upcoming months.
